Well, blimey, pop-off for a year and a half and look what happens...

Of course, that's assuming it's been that long--probably hasn't knowing this place. Of course, not that I know this place much to begin with--thought I was starting to make some progress with that, but now, must admit, I'm more confused than ever. But that's not important right now...

[The Doctor's voice goes quiet and serious. He's seen the state of the city in his search for a journal.]

[Her voice is shaky at first, but grows more steady]

The city collapsed. I'm not quite certain as to why, but I think some of us here may have been tricked into it. After that, the citizens of the city banded together and threw us out.

[A pause. Then, in a bitter tone]

I suppose anything can happen when one puts one's mind to something.

Well, can't completely blame them for that, I suppose... Still, that's going a bit far.

I'd say so, especially since the rest of us have nowhere else to go now. I suppose I could stay in Wonderland - I know it well enough - but I'd rather not. It was supposed to be dead.

Might be best to not then, if you'd rather not. I imagine one of the other floors might be bit more hospitable.

But someone else has been using my world, and I'm not the only one. Why is that, I wonder? Why subject us to these broken memories?

[sounding slightly out of breath] Oi! Where've you been? No, wait, year and a half. Donna?

Right, then. Long story short, this place has been torn down. A bit. I dunno, can you tell? The mayor and his lot aren't too happy with us, so we've been uprooted out of the city.

[a wry sort of chuckle] Looks like we're getting closer to figuring all this out.

Donna, Agatha Christie and a giant wasp. Didn't remember this place though. Nothing at all. Not till I suddenly found myself here again.

Yeaaaaah, I kind of did notice that, nor am I very surprised. Can't exactly blame them, I suppose, still... makes things a bit more difficult.

Oh, the giant wasp! I loved the giant wasp. Shame about him, though. Poor fellow. [is that a tinge of regret in his voice? Why yes. Yes, it is]

You bet it does. Although, have you looked at the floor lately?

Yeah. I haven't been to the other floors yet; I've been a bit busy helping to rebuild the town.

Something's gone weird here, and not in the usual way for this place.

You haven't been gone for that long, you know. Just a few weeks, long enough for, oh, the ENTIRE CITY TO COLLAPSE AROUND US.

[A short pause then...]

A year and a half? What's... the last thing you remember now?

Yeaaaah, had a feeling that would be the case... being gone that long, that is-not the whole city collapsing part.

Agatha Christie? Giant Wasp?

I'm assuming this means time really doesn't work the way we're used to here? This not being the point. Something happened, things collapsed, the stars no longer exist... that's been weird...

Oh, good, you know some of the stuff that's happened since my 'wedding' [you can hear the sarcasm on that word].

That's exactly why I'm so confused. I didn't remember even being here the whole time I was gone. Only when I came back did I remember... well, more or less. It just makes no sense... [Ten's sounding oh so frustrated again. He's happy to shift topics.]

Yeah, I know a bit, I'd say.

I'm at Niflheim at the moment. ...Is the TARDIS still where I left her, or did she vanish too?
